INDIAN BENCHMARKS Flat opening seen for Indian markets.
Indian markets are likely to open little changed on Tuesday as traders stick to a cautious approach ahead of the March retail inflation and February IIP data due today. SGX Nifty is trading 5.00 points lower. Indian shares gained in line with global markets on Monday, though caution crept in, as market awaits March-quarter earnings for companies, beginning with Infosys. The S&P BSE Sensex rose 1.41% and CNX Nifty gained 1.54%.
• Asian stocks rose on Tuesday, led by a rebound in Japanese stocks, while commodities such as crude oil stood tall thanks to a sagging dollar.
• US stocks slipped at the start of a first-quarter earnings season that is expected to paint a bleak picture of corporate profits.
• European shares rose on Monday, reversing earlier losses thanks in part to gains in Italian banks and mining stocks.

Reliance Communications to launch 4G on May 4
Leading telecom giant, Reliance Communications has announced that it will advance its estimated 5 million CDMA customers to a 4G network in segments from May 4. With this decision, the telecom giant joins bigger competitors like Bharti Airtel, Vodafone India and Idea Cellular in unveiling high-speed broadband services.
ITC, Starwood extend partnership, add 3 more properties
ITC Ltd and Starwood Hotels and Resorts today extended their existing partnership for 11 ITC Luxury Collection hotels and one hotel under the Sheraton brand.
Strengthening their partnership further, the two partners also announced three upcoming ITC hotels under Starwood's 'The Luxury Collection' brand in India.
The addition of ITC Kohinoor in Hyderabad, ITC Narmada in Ahmedabad and ITC Royal Bengal in Kolkata will take the inventory up to 15 hotels.
Lupin gains on launching first product from GAVIS pipeline
Lupin surged over 2%, touched to Rs1541.55, after the pharma major said that is US-based subsidiary Lupin Pharmaceuticals Inc., has launched the first product from its GAVIS pipeline. The subsidiary has launched Zolpidem Sublingual Tablets, 1.75mg & 3.5mg which has been approved by the USFDA and final clearance from the FTC with 180 days of exclusivity. Zolpidem Sublingual Tablets, 1.75mg and 3.5mg are AB-rated generic equivalent of Purdue Pharma L.P's Intermezzo Sublingual Tablets, 1.75mg and 3.5mg and is dispensed for the treatment of insomnia.
HUL completes acquistion of Indulekha brand oil
Hindustan Unilever (HUL) announced that it has completed the acquisition of Masons Group flagship hair oil brand Indulekha.
It may be recalled that in December 2015, HUL had announced signing an agreement with Masons Group for acquisition of its flagship Indulekha brand.
IOC to invest Rs20,000 cr in Gujarat refinery
The Indian Government has said that PSU major Indian Oil Corporation was going to devote Rs20,000 crore for brownfield expansion of its refinery in Gujarat.
Commenting on the issue, Union Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan after visiting the refinery said that Indian Oil Corporation’s Gujarat Refinery had been asked to jump directly from BS IV to the more strict BS VI norms for petrol and diesel, so that cleaner transport fuels became accessible sooner to bring down vehicular emissions.'

Reliance Jio to enter 4G market with competitive pricing
Reliance Industries - Media reports reveals that Reliance Jio is likely to enter market with very competitive pricing for its 4G services, way ahead of its peers offerings.
This is to intensify competition and RIL JIO could gain market share. As per media reports, the SIM cards will be available at a cost of Rs200 and JIO will offer humongous 75GB of 4G data and 4500 minutes of call timeas well as some freebies.

INDIAN BENCHMARKS: SENSEX ENDS 66 POINTS LOWER,NIFTY 50 BELOW 7600,LUPIN TANKS 6%
Domestic equity markets navigated rough waters on Tuesday as multiple triggers confused investors on the Street.
The equity market managed to close in the red after a shaky trading session that saw the BSE benchmark Sensex swing between gains and losses. The S&P BSE Sensex ended the day lower by 66 points, or 0.26 per cent, at 24,900. The 50-share NSE Nifty50 closed at 7,597, down 18 points, or 0.24 per cent.
Lupin slipped over 13% to Rs1294.05, after reports suggested that it has received a Form 483 (observation letter) from US drug regulator, USFDA for its Mandideep manufacturing facility.
Lupin's active pharmaceutical ingredient ( API) and formulations units of Mandideep manufacturing facility in Madhya Pradesh have reportedly received two observations each after the facility was inspected by United States Food & Drug Administration ( USFDA) between February 08, to February 19, 2016.

The 30-share BSE Sensex rose 79.40 points to 24756.77 and the Nifty advanced 21.65 points to 7534.20.
Hindalco Industries, Bharti Airtel, TCS, ONGC, Adani Ports, Idea Cellular, Cairn India and Vedanta gained 1-2 percent while Lupin fell 2 percent on CLSA downgrade. Sun Pharma, HUL, Dr Reddy's Labs and BPCL were other losers.
The Indian rupee opened with a gain of 13 paise at 66.62 per dollar today against previous close of 66.75.

INDIAN BENCHMARKS we’re trading in negative trend in the morning trading session with negative bias tracking mixed global cues. Investors are keenly awaiting the outcome of the two-day US Federal Reserve policy meet which began yesterday. The Federal Reserve's two-day monetary policy meeting will end today. On Tuesday, benchmark indices closed lower dragged by pharma shares after the government notified a ban on about 300 fixed dose combination (FDC) drugs. At 9:30 AM BSE SENSEX was at 24500.03, down by 51.14 points or by 0.21% while the NSE Nifty was at 7461.9, up by 1.3 points or by 0.02%. The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were BHEL 1.32%, ITC 0.80%, L&T 0.57%, Hero MotoCorp 0.54%, Tata Steel 0.53%, among others. The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Asian Paints 1.59%, Dr. Reddy's Laboratories 1.47%, Bharti Airtel 1.27%, Bajaj Auto 1.10%, HDFC 0.97%, among others. The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was strong.
Among overseas markets, Asian shares were mixed on Wednesday while the dollar dithered as markets waited anxiously for the Federal Reserve to provide guidance on the risk of US rate hikes this year. While no move is expected at this meeting it does include updates of Fed members' economic projections and a news conference with Chair Janet Yellen, events that have caused violent market reactions in the past. Investors put discretion before valour and nudged MSCI's broadest index of Asia-Pacific shares outside Japan down 0.1%. Japan's Nikkei took a knock from a firmer yen and slipped 0.8%

Wipro Ltd’s chief executive officer (CEO) Abidali Neemuchwala has set an ambitious revenue growth target of 12-14% for fiscal 2017, Wipro, which will grow at around 4% for FY16, will have 5% incremental growth in the next fiscal, attributing to the $371 million in revenue it got from the four buyouts it made over the last 12 months.
Aurobindo gets USFDA nod for Ibandronate Sodium tablets
Pharma major Aurobindo Pharma said that it has received USFDA approval for Ibandronate Sodium Tablets.
The approved ANDA is bioequivalent and therapeutically equivalent to the reference listed drug product (RLD) Boniva® Tablets of Hoffman-La Roche Inc, the company said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
Ibandronate Sodium Tablets is used in the treatment and prevention of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women.
